Practicing yoga is about more than just learning the positions and attending classes – it’s a lifestyle, one geared toward healthy living and all that entails. Cori Martinez, the owner of Asha Yoga, had this on her mind when she decided to open a Peel’d Juice Bar inside of her Midtown studio.
“Yoga is about being a holistic and healthy person and dieting through juicing is a huge part of that…and they taste good,” Martinez said.
The juice bar opened its doors on July 31 inside the Asha Yoga studio located in the MARRS building on 20th street between J and K streets.
Peel’d Juice is a company located in Midtown that sells and distributes juices online. Brandy Jo Neth, one of Peel’d’s co-founders, was looking for a brick-and-mortar location where she could sell the juice when Martinez asked her to move the juice bar inside her studio.
“We have paired together to promote the healing and supportive powers of movement and food,” Neth said in a press release.
The Peel’d Juice Bar will be open from 7 A.M. to 1 P.M. daily inside Asha Yoga. The juices will cost $6 and the bar offers the same variety that Peel’d lists on their their website.
Asha Yoga has been in the MARRS building for the past 4 years, holding classes for the general public and training people to become yoga teachers.
